Everywhere I go someone is trying to dump fire on me. My poor warrior is a full time toastmaster. Is there any help for this?

I haven't played N or R enough to know if there are any skills to block or absorb fire damage. Are the two Mesmer skills (elemental resistance and mantra of flame) the best fire defense skills in the game?

The real damage that fire does is the DOT (damage over time). the -10 health degen really hurts. and no amount of mantras or elemental resistance will help you from that. but a good old healing breeze or shield of regeneration will counter the damage. try that.

Don't fear fire. Many fire spells are AoE, meaning that you can just walk out of their effects and you'll be safe. The best way to stop elemental damage is to use Reversal of Fortune and Protective Spirit. Protective Spirit will stop the huge nukes and Reversal is great to spam for life gain. Of course, you could rely on your Monk.

like i said, the only thing fire can do is degen really. and thats all you have to worry about.

Yep and most of the degen fire inflicts doesn't last very long either.

unless they have mark of rodgart and very high fire magic

thats annoying cuz they keep setting u on fire over and over.

thats when you use plague touch to put urself out and set them on fire

Kidding of course. Thanks for the input. I'll mess with Protective spirit and see where that gets me. I've never played W/N, so maybe I'll give that a shot too.
